Best website design companies for law firms in San Antonio.

Getlo, the Get Local Presence mascot
GETLO'S
FIELD NOTE

A criteria based breakdown of the website design companies serving San Antonio law firms, what each is built for, how they handle Texas bar advertising rules, and what the work costs.

Quick answer: The companies building websites for San Antonio law firms fall into three models, and the model decides more than the design does. Legal only national specialists such as The Modern Firm build attorney sites as their entire business and understand bar advertising rules by default. Local San Antonio agencies such as Funnel Boost Media, Strottner Designs and Southtown carry real presence in this city and treat legal as one strong vertical. Managed monthly providers, including Get Local Presence, build the site and then keep working on it every month afterward. The distinction matters more in law than in almost any other category, because a San Antonio firm competing for accident cases is bidding against top of page costs that reach $911.50 per click, which means the website is the only acquisition channel that does not get more expensive every time a competitor raises a bid. Below is a criteria based breakdown of the companies genuinely competing for San Antonio legal work, what each is actually built for, what it costs, and how to tell which one fits your firm.

Editorial disclosure. Get Local Presence publishes this list and appears in it at number three. We are not a neutral third party and we are not pretending to be one. Every other company named here is a real, independently operating business that markets website design to law firms in or around San Antonio, and none of them paid for placement or reviewed this page before publication. We placed ourselves where our model honestly competes, which is the managed monthly bracket, not at the top of a list we wrote ourselves. Where another company is a better fit than we are, the entry says so plainly. Verify anything here that matters to your decision before you sign with anyone, including us.

How we built this list, and what we deliberately ignored

We ignored award badges. In legal marketing most of them are either purchased or issued by directories that carry a commercial relationship with the agencies they rank, which makes them a measure of marketing budget rather than of work quality.

We also ignored portfolio attractiveness. A law firm website that photographs well and produces no signed cases has failed at the only job it was hired to do, and design awards do not measure that.

We looked at five things instead.

Whether the company actually works with law firms or simply lists legal among twenty industries on a services page. Legal work carries constraints that most web shops never encounter: practice area architecture, intake that has to work at eleven at night, referral relationships that show up in the content, and advertising conduct rules enforced by a state bar rather than by a marketing platform.

Whether the company knows the Texas advertising rules exist. Under Part VII of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, a lawyer must file an advertisement with the Advertising Review Committee of the State Bar of Texas no later than ten days after dissemination, unless it is exempt. Rule 7.05 exempts information and links posted on a law firm website with one specific carve out: the contents of the homepage, unless the homepage is itself otherwise exempt. That single sentence is the difference between a vendor who has read the rules and one who is about to rewrite your homepage without telling you it is now a filing question. The responsibility is the lawyer's, not the agency's, which is exactly why the agency needs to raise it.

What happens after launch. This is where most law firm websites fail, and it is the single most useful question to ask any company on this list.

Whether the site and the search visibility work are handled together or split across vendors. When a designer owns the site and a separate SEO vendor owns visibility, the SEO vendor needs page changes from someone who is no longer on retainer, weeks pass, and when rankings stall each blames the other. Both are usually partly right, and the firm pays for both.

Whether the company has a real presence in San Antonio or a landing page targeting the city name. Two entries below are included with that caveat attached, stated openly rather than buried.

Four things about this market should change what a firm buys.

Paid acquisition in San Antonio legal is among the most expensive in American advertising. Rather than estimating, we pulled Google Keyword Planner directly on August 6, 2026, against the San Antonio DMA and the national set. Our legal research set returned 749 keywords carrying at least ten monthly searches. Inside the San Antonio DMA specifically, personal injury attorney san antonio registers roughly 2,900 monthly searches with top of page bids running $100.42 to $290.84. Car accident attorney san antonio registers about 2,400 monthly searches at $151.00 to $425.59. The extreme case is accident attorney san antonio, a lower volume term at roughly 260 local monthly searches, where top of page bids run $264.79 to $911.50.

Read that last figure again, because it reframes the entire decision. A single click, not a signed case, not a consultation, a click, can cost more than nine hundred dollars in this city. A firm spending that has to convert an extraordinary share of those clicks to survive, and what does the converting is the page the click lands on. This is the argument for treating the website as infrastructure rather than as a brochure, and it is a genuinely different argument from the one a restaurant or a roofing company faces.

The vendors themselves are competing hard for your attention. Nationally, law firm website design registers roughly 2,400 monthly searches with top of page bids from $18.83 to $113.70, and attorney website design registers about 1,900 monthly searches at $22.00 to $104.50. Ppc for attorneys reaches roughly 6,600 monthly searches at $40.00 to $126.00, and seo company for law firms carries top of page bids up to $400.00. When agencies pay those rates to reach you, expect polished sales material and treat the case study numbers accordingly.

San Antonio has a law school, and that shapes the competitive field. St. Mary's University School of Law is the city's law school, and a metro with a law school retains graduates who hang a shingle locally. The practical consequence for an established firm is that new competitors appear steadily, and many launch with a modern site because they are building from zero rather than maintaining something from 2017.

Practice area structure decides ranking more than homepage design does. A firm handling personal injury, family law, criminal defense and estate planning is not one business in the eyes of a search engine, it is four, each with its own searchers, its own intent and its own competitors. Sites that collapse four practices into one services page compete for none of them properly. This is the most common structural failure we see in San Antonio legal sites, and it is invisible in a design review because the page looks fine.

1. The Modern Firm

The Modern Firm is a law firm only website design and marketing company headquartered at 111 S. Main Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It states more than twenty years in business and nearly 2,000 clients served, with an explicit and unusually disciplined focus on small firms and solo practitioners.

What it is genuinely good at. Depth in one industry, plus a stated position that is rare in this category. It commits to no long term commitments and frames itself as an educator that explains options rather than a vendor that sells a package. A company that has built websites for nearly two thousand law firms has encountered your practice area, your intake problem and your bar compliance question several hundred times and has stopped guessing about them.

Where to look closely. It is not in Texas, and its focus on small firms is a real constraint rather than modesty. A twelve attorney firm with a marketing director may find the model too light. Ask what the relationship looks like in month six, what it costs, and specifically who handles San Antonio local search work, because national law firm SEO and Bexar County local pack visibility are not the same discipline.

Best fit. A solo or small firm that wants a well built legal specific site from a team with genuine category depth and no long contract.

2. Funnel Boost Media

Funnel Boost Media is the most established local player on this list by measurable authority. It is a veteran owned San Antonio agency and Google Partner operating from 3201 Cherry Ridge Drive, Suite 200, focused on lead generation across home services, legal and healthcare.

What it is genuinely good at. It is the only local competitor we measured with substantial search authority behind it, carrying a domain authority of 34 with more than 2,600 referring domains. Its legal offering is not a single page bolted onto a generalist site: it runs dedicated practice area coverage across criminal defense, personal injury, divorce, immigration, corporate, employment, real estate, insurance, bankruptcy, child custody, DWI and felony work, which is the practice area architecture described above applied to its own marketing. Its published law firm portfolio names real clients including Wood and Sanchez Law, Lehmbecker Law, Bitman O'Brien PLLC, the Law Office of Warren A. Gary and the Javier Villarreal Law Firm, which is verifiable in a way that most portfolio claims are not.

Where to look closely. Legal is one of three verticals rather than the whole business, and it is a larger agency serving many accounts across several cities. It publishes no pricing and no performance metrics on its legal pages. Ask who specifically will work on your firm, how much of the approach is templated across the legal vertical, what the minimum monthly commitment is, and whether they will take a competing firm in your practice area and submarket.

Best fit. An established firm with a meaningful monthly budget that wants a local agency with a verifiable track record and named legal clients, and is comfortable being one client among many.

3. Get Local Presence

We build and then manage the website, the local search work and the AI search visibility work as a single ongoing service rather than as three separate purchases from three separate vendors.

What we are genuinely built for. The specific failure where a firm pays for a site, receives it, and then has no vendor, no budget and no plan for month two. Every plan includes the rebuild, and every plan includes monthly work after launch: technical health, new content, conversion adjustments, and reporting on how many calls and form submissions actually arrived. Plans run from $499 to $999 monthly with no contract and no long term commitment.

For a law firm the practice area point above is where this model earns its keep. Practice area pages are not a one time build, they are an inventory that grows as the firm takes on new work, and an inventory nobody maintains is the reason a firm with four practices ranks for one. The reason we bundle rather than split is the vendor gap: it is the most common and most expensive failure we see in firms that are already spending money on marketing.

Where we are honestly weaker. We are a newer brand in this market, and legal is not a vertical where we can show you a fifteen year San Antonio client list the way Funnel Boost can, or two thousand law firm builds the way The Modern Firm can. We are also not a bar compliance advisor. We will raise the Rule 7.04 filing question and we will structure the site so the homepage claim language is deliberate rather than accidental, but the filing obligation is the lawyer's and we will say so rather than imply we absorb it. Our parent company Rendimension has operated in search and visualization for longer, and the methods we use here were tested and measured on its domains, where they produced a documented result in AI citation specifically. But if a long reference list of local firms is your primary criterion, that is a legitimate reason to choose someone else.

Where to look closely. Time. There is no contract and you can leave whenever you want, but the model depends on compounding work, and month three does not resemble month ten. If you want a site you own outright with no ongoing relationship, we are the wrong shape, and we will tell you that during the review rather than after you sign.

Best fit. A firm whose site has been neglected for several years, that does not want to manage two or three vendors, and that would rather pay a predictable monthly amount than pay once for a build followed by nothing.

4. Strottner Designs

Strottner Designs LLC operates from 825 W Bitters Road, Suite 106 in San Antonio and states a founding year of 2002, which makes it the longest running local firm on this list. It covers branding, web design, logo and identity work, print, SEO, social and PPC, with attorney marketing as a stated specialty alongside dermatology, engineering, real estate and retail.

What it is genuinely good at. Design and brand identity handled by the same shop that builds the site. For a firm that also needs a logo, letterhead and signage to look like one coherent practice, that is a real advantage over a web only vendor, and two decades in one city is a track record that cannot be manufactured. Its stated service area covers San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Corpus Christi and Brownsville, which is a South Texas footprint rather than a national one.

Where to look closely. Its published offer is a free custom designed website in exchange for a twelve month SEO commitment. That is a legitimate and common structure, and it is not a trick, but it does mean the website is priced inside a year of retainer rather than separately. Ask what the monthly SEO figure is, what happens to the site if you leave at month thirteen, and who owns the design files. Ask also for legal specific examples rather than general portfolio work, since attorney marketing is one specialty among five.

Best fit. A firm that wants brand and website handled together by a long established local shop and is comfortable committing to a year of search work.

5. Southtown Web Design and Digital Marketing

Southtown operates from San Antonio with additional stated locations in Austin and Dallas, reports operating since 2015, publishes more than 91 five star Google reviews and an A plus BBB accreditation, and covers web design, WordPress, maintenance plans, SEO including AI search work, Google Business Profile management, Google Ads, content and design.

What it is genuinely good at. Publishing its prices, which almost nobody in this category does. It states $4,000 to $7,000 for a small firm site of five to eight pages, $7,000 to $15,000 for a mid size firm site, $1,500 to $3,500 monthly for SEO retainers, and Google Ads management at 15 percent of ad spend with a $750 monthly minimum. Whatever you conclude about the numbers, a vendor willing to publish them is easier to compare and harder to surprise you with. Its stated legal coverage spans personal injury, family, criminal defense, estate planning, immigration, business, employment, real estate and oil and gas.

Where to look closely. It publishes no case studies and no measurable client results for law firms, which is a gap when the pricing is this specific. Review counts are also a measure of review collection process as much as of work quality. Ask to see two San Antonio legal sites they built and what happened to inquiry volume afterward.

Best fit. A firm that wants a known price before the sales conversation and is buying a project build with an optional retainer rather than a bundled monthly service.

6. MileMark Media, with a caveat worth stating plainly

MileMark exclusively builds and optimizes attorney websites, states more than sixty years of combined legal marketing experience across its team, and covers website design, SEO, AI search marketing, social, paid search and Local Services Ads with practice area specific work.

The caveat. Its physical offices are in Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California. The San Antonio page is a landing page targeting this city, not a staffed local operation. We are naming this because a firm choosing partly on local presence deserves to know which presences are staffed. It does not make the work bad. It does mean the marketing implies something the address list does not support.

What it is genuinely good at. Legal exclusivity at scale. A company that works only with law firms carries category knowledge that a generalist cannot fake, and its coverage of Local Services Ads is relevant, since the Google Screened program is a channel most generalist agencies in this market do not run for legal at all.

Where to look closely. Its client volume claim is thousands of law firm websites with no specific figure attached, which is not verifiable. Ask how many active Texas clients it has, whether anyone on your account has handled Texas bar advertising questions before, and what the monthly cost is beyond the build.

Best fit. A firm that values legal exclusivity and a broad paid channel stack, and is not selecting on local presence.

7. JCE SEO

JCE SEO is a San Antonio agency publishing a dedicated law firm website design service covering custom attorney site design, logo and branding, SEO focused site architecture, practice area pages, blog integration and local legal marketing. It displays a Texas minority owned digital marketing agency designation and lists an address at 3519 Paesanos Parkway, Suite 101.

What it is genuinely good at. Its stated architecture is correct on the point that matters most: practice area pages and search structured site organization rather than a design first build. That is the right instinct for a firm with multiple practices, and it is the thing generalist web shops most often get wrong.

Where to look closely. The site lists two different San Antonio addresses across its pages, 3519 Paesanos Parkway and 6101 Broadway, with inconsistent stated hours, and it publishes an unattributed statistic about how many clients visit a firm's website before contacting it. Neither is disqualifying, and small agencies commonly leave stale details on a page, but citation consistency is literally part of the local SEO service being sold, so it is fair to ask which address is current and whether the business listings match. Ask for pricing, since none is published, and for legal specific examples.

Best fit. A local firm that wants a San Antonio based vendor with a correct structural approach and is willing to do the diligence the published details invite.

8. Texas Web Design

Texas Web Design markets law firm website design in San Antonio and publishes an unusually wide Texas footprint: Stone Oak, a second San Antonio location on Frontage Road, Selma, New Braunfels, San Marcos and Dallas. It states more than fifty years of combined team experience and covers web design, SEO, digital advertising, social, landing pages, development, photography and video.

What it is genuinely good at. Geographic coverage and production breadth. A firm that also needs attorney headshots, office photography or video for a practice area page will find that under one roof here, which is genuinely useful and usually a separate hire.

Where to look closely. The legal page names no attorney clients and shows no legal case studies, and combined team experience is a softer claim than company age. Multiple published locations are also worth verifying individually, since suite numbers in this market frequently resolve to shared office space. Ask which office your team sits in, and ask for two law firm sites they built.

Best fit. A firm that wants website plus photography and video from one vendor and values a wide regional footprint.

9. Vorgestern Agency, listed for a specific reason

Vorgestern Agency ranks for law firm web design in San Antonio and offers web design, WordPress, Shopify, SEO and PPC. We are including it because it illustrates something a firm evaluating search results should be able to recognize, not because we recommend it.

What you are actually looking at. The page is one instance of a templated set generated across many city and industry combinations, with the same section headers reused for different verticals. It publishes no physical address, no team, no founder and no pricing, and its phone number carries a 770 Georgia area code rather than a Texas one.

Why it matters to you. Pages like this rank because programmatic coverage across hundreds of city and industry pairs is cheap to produce, not because the company has San Antonio legal experience. When you are searching for a vendor, the same technique that puts this page in front of you is the technique a low effort vendor will use on your firm's site, and it is exactly what a state bar reviewer, a referring attorney and an actual client all see through. If you contact them, ask for the address, the team and two law firm references before anything else.

Best fit. Named here for recognition rather than recommendation. If the answers to those three questions are strong, evaluate them normally.

What this actually costs

Prices in legal web work vary more than in almost any other professional service, and the variation is mostly about model rather than quality.

A project build from a local San Antonio agency has published numbers you can anchor to: Southtown states $4,000 to $7,000 for a small firm site of five to eight pages and $7,000 to $15,000 for a mid size firm, with SEO retainers at $1,500 to $3,500 monthly and Google Ads management at 15 percent of spend with a $750 monthly minimum. Legal only national specialists generally sit in a similar build range with their own ongoing programs layered on. Bundled offers such as a free site in exchange for a twelve month SEO commitment are not free, they are a build amortized inside a year of retainer, and the correct way to compare them is to multiply the monthly figure by twelve before you decide. Managed monthly providers sit lower per month because the build is amortized into the ongoing relationship rather than charged up front, which is the bracket Get Local Presence occupies at $499 to $999 monthly with the rebuild included.

None of those figures is the number that decides this. In San Antonio legal, the decisive number is what you are already spending or about to spend on paid acquisition, because at $151.00 to $425.59 per click for car accident terms, a two point improvement in how well the landing page converts is worth more than the entire annual cost of the website. Firms consistently get this backwards, negotiating hard on a one time build fee while accepting a landing page that wastes clicks priced like a used car payment.

The questions to ask before you sign with any of them

These six questions separate the companies quickly, and they work on every vendor above including us.

Who owns the website in month six, and what does that cost? If the answer is that you own it and nothing is included, price the maintenance before you compare quotes.

How do you handle Texas bar advertising rules? You are not asking them to be your ethics counsel. You are checking whether they know that homepage content sits differently under Rule 7.05 than the rest of the site, and whether they will flag claim language before it goes live rather than after.

Do I get a page per practice area, and who writes them as I add practices? This is the structural question that decides whether you rank for four things or one.

What do you report, and is it signed cases or rankings? Rankings without consultations is the most common way this category disappoints people. Ask what call tracking is included, since in legal the phone still closes the case.

Will you take a competing firm in my practice area and submarket? Ask every vendor, not just the large ones, and get the answer in writing if it matters to you.

Can I speak to two San Antonio law firm clients? Not testimonials on a page. Two firms, by phone. A company with real local legal depth will produce them quickly.

How to narrow this down quickly

If you are a solo or small firm and you want a legal specific build from a category specialist with no long contract, look at The Modern Firm. If you are an established firm with real budget that wants local authority and named legal clients, look at Funnel Boost Media. If you want a published price before the conversation starts, look at Southtown. If you want brand identity and website from one long established local shop, look at Strottner Designs. If you want legal exclusivity and a broad paid channel stack and do not need local presence, look at MileMark, with the caveat above in mind. If your site has been neglected for years and the real problem is that nobody owns it, look at a managed monthly model, including ours.

If you are not sure which of those describes you, that itself is diagnostic. It usually means the site was built once by someone who is no longer involved, which is the most common situation we see and the one the managed model exists to solve.

Where this fits in the work we do

We publish this list because the decision is genuinely confusing and most of the material written about it is written to sell one answer. If you want to see how we approach each piece of the work rather than how we compare to others, those pages are separate and more specific.

Frequently asked questions

How much should a San Antonio law firm expect to pay for a website?+

Published local figures put a small firm site of five to eight pages at $4,000 to $7,000 and a mid size firm site at $7,000 to $15,000, with SEO retainers commonly $1,500 to $3,500 monthly on top. A managed monthly model, where the build is included and ongoing work continues after launch, runs lower per month, from $499 to $999 in the case of Get Local Presence. The more useful comparison is the total across eighteen months including maintenance, because a delivered and abandoned site accumulates cost in small invoices that never appear in the original quote.

Does my law firm website have to be filed with the State Bar of Texas?+

Under Rule 7.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, information and links posted on a law firm website are exempt from the filing requirement with one exception: the contents of the homepage, unless the homepage is itself otherwise exempt. Where filing is required under Rule 7.04, it is due no later than ten days after dissemination. The obligation belongs to the lawyer, not to the agency, so confirm how any vendor handles homepage claim language before it goes live. Confirm the current rule text and any application to your specific content with the State Bar or your own ethics counsel rather than relying on a marketing page, including this one.

Is it better to hire a legal only specialist or a local San Antonio agency?+

It depends on which problem is larger. A legal only specialist such as The Modern Firm brings pattern knowledge from thousands of law firm sites and will make fewer mistakes about practice area structure and intake. A local agency such as Funnel Boost Media brings San Antonio search authority, named local legal clients and knowledge of this specific competitive market. If your site is structurally weak, the specialist matters more. If your site is adequate but invisible, the local search authority matters more.

Why is legal advertising so expensive in San Antonio?+

Because the value of a single signed case is high enough to justify it. Google Keyword Planner data pulled for the San Antonio DMA in August 2026 shows car accident attorney san antonio at roughly 2,400 monthly searches with top of page bids of $151.00 to $425.59, and accident attorney san antonio reaching $911.50 at the top of the range. Those bids are set by firms who have measured what a case is worth to them. The practical consequence is that organic visibility and conversion rate carry unusually high leverage in this category, because they are the only parts of the funnel that do not reprice every time a competitor raises a bid.

Does a law firm really need AI search visibility work yet?+

It is early, which is precisely the argument for doing it now. When someone asks ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews for an attorney recommendation, the answer is assembled from a small number of sources, and most firms have done nothing to appear in them. The field is far less contested than legal SEO, where every firm in the city has been competing for over a decade. Being early is cheaper than being late in every visibility channel that has existed so far.

How can I tell whether a company actually operates in San Antonio?+

Look up the published address and check whether it is a staffed office or a shared suite, and check whether the same address appears consistently across the company's own pages and business listings. Several companies marketing to San Antonio law firms publish a local page while every physical office sits in another state, and at least one ranking page publishes no address at all. That does not automatically make the work bad, and remote vendors do good work in this category, but it should not be counted as local presence when you are comparing options.

How long before a new law firm website produces cases?+

Conversion improvements can appear within weeks, because they act on traffic and paid clicks you are already buying. Search visibility gains take longer, generally three to six months before movement is clear and longer in personal injury, which is among the most competitive organic categories that exists. Any company promising ranked results in thirty days is describing paid advertising, which works differently and stops the moment you stop paying for it.
