Quick answer: In the companion list on electrician website design we showed that San Antonio search volume for EV chargers, solar and generators is small and cheap, and advised against rebuilding your homepage around it. This page is the other half of that finding, and it points the opposite direction. When curiosity about a topic is high but keyword volume is low, the questions are not disappearing, they are going to assistants instead of search boxes. Nobody types a keyword to find out whether their panel supports an EV charger. They ask. That makes the emerging services exactly where AI visibility matters most for an electrician, for a completely different reason than search. Savo Group publishes both an electrician specific AI program from around $1,000 monthly and the most concrete case numbers we found anywhere in this series, Funnel Boost Media is the strongest agency headquartered here, and Foxxr publishes share of voice reporting. Below is a criteria based breakdown of who does this work and what it costs.
Editorial disclosure. Get Local Presence publishes this list and appears in it at number three. We are not a neutral third party and we are not pretending to be one. Every other company named here is a real, independently operating business marketing AI search, generative engine or answer engine optimization to electrical contractors or home service trades, and none of them paid for placement or reviewed this page before publication. Two exclusions worth stating. A secondary source named an agency said to work exclusively with electrical contractors, and we could not independently verify that the company exists as described, so it is not on this list. And Four Arrows Marketing, which publishes useful material on this topic, is excluded for the same reason we excluded it from our general contractor list: it states that it serves Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
How we built this list, and what we deliberately ignored
Three filters produced the eight entries below.
The company had to publish a defined AI search service with deliverables, not a paragraph claiming AI expertise attached to an existing retainer.
The company had to work with electricians or home service trades.
The company had to actually serve San Antonio, and we verified that each company exists as described rather than taking a directory listing at face value. That check removed two candidates, both named in the disclosure above.
We ignored any promise of a guaranteed position inside an AI answer, since no such position exists.
Why the emerging services belong in the AI channel, not the homepage
This is the argument that connects this page to its companion, and it inverts the conclusion rather than repeating it.
Our own Keyword Planner pull for San Antonio found solar panels in san antonio texas at 260 monthly searches with a top of page bid of $2.80 to $24.24, solar companies san antonio at 140 searches, and our EV charger, generator and panel upgrade seeds producing almost nothing at the metro level. Meanwhile residential electricians san antonio reaches $101.27. On that evidence we advised against restructuring a homepage around services the local market is not yet searching for.
Keyword volume is not the same as demand, and the gap between them is the whole point of this page.
Consider what a homeowner actually does when they are thinking about an EV charger. They do not know the keyword. They do not know whether the relevant question is about amperage, panel capacity, permits, the charger itself or their electrical service. So they do not type a keyword at all. They ask a question in sentences: can my house handle an EV charger, do I need a panel upgrade for a level 2 charger, how much does it cost to add a circuit for a car charger, is my panel too small for solar.
Those questions are not showing up in Keyword Planner because Keyword Planner measures searches, and this behavior has moved to assistants. Low keyword volume paired with obvious real world curiosity is a signal that the demand relocated rather than disappeared.
Which produces a genuinely useful split in how to think about your content. The residential service pages are built for search, because that is where the money currently is and the bids prove it. The EV, solar, generator and panel content is built for the AI channel, because that is where those questions actually get asked. Same pages, different rationale, different measurement, and a different answer to whether they belong on your homepage.
It also changes how you evaluate a proposal. A vendor who tracks only recommendation prompts like best electrician in San Antonio is measuring the smaller half. The prompts worth tracking for an electrician are the capacity and feasibility questions, because those are the ones being asked in volume and the ones a well built page can win.
The panel question, and why it is the most valuable page you can publish
Almost every emerging electrical job runs through one question: will my panel support this.
An EV charger, a hot tub, a workshop, an addition, solar, a whole home generator. In each case the homeowner's first real question is capacity, and in each case the honest answer frequently is that a panel upgrade has to happen first. That upgrade is a substantial job in its own right, and it is the job that must be sold before any of the interesting work can proceed.
An honest, specific page answering that question does three things at once. It is genuinely useful, which is the only durable content strategy. It is question shaped, which is exactly what an assistant can extract and quote. And it captures the upgrade work rather than sending the reader to a competitor who explained it better.
Most electrical websites have a services page that says panel upgrades and a phone number. That answers nothing and gets quoted by nobody.
The safety floor, and why it favors electricians
There is a structural advantage in this trade that we have not seen in any other vertical in this series, and it is worth understanding before you buy anything.
In the companion list on plumbing we described the honest tension in diagnostic content: a good page sometimes tells the homeowner they can fix it themselves, and plumbers reasonably dislike that. Running toilets and garbage disposals are legitimate do it yourself work, and assistants will say so.
Electrical is different because the safety floor is higher and assistants behave accordingly. Ask an assistant about panel work, service upgrades, adding a circuit or anything behind the wall, and the answer reliably ends with a recommendation to hire a licensed electrician, frequently with a note about permits and inspection. The models are conservative here for obvious liability reasons, and that conservatism runs in your favor.
Which means the electrician's AI visibility problem is narrower and better than the plumber's. You are not fighting to prevent the assistant from talking the customer out of hiring anyone. The assistant is already going to say hire a licensed professional. The only question is whether it names you when it does.
That reframes what the work is. Not persuasion, identification. The assistant needs to be able to name a licensed electrician in San Antonio with confidence, which means your license, your service area, your specialties and your credentials have to be legible and consistent everywhere it looks. The 50 state research we covered in the plumbing version of this series found licensing and state certification to be the single most referenced signal when AI engines recommend a trade contractor, ahead of reviews and ahead of availability. Texas licenses electricians through TDLR with tiered licenses plus a separate electrical contractor license, so you have exactly the credential the engines are looking for. Put the number in text on the site and every profile.
1. Savo Group
Savo Group is a family owned, veteran owned agency focused on electrical contractors, with founder and SEO director Michael Rupe working in SEO since 1999, running a dedicated AI search program alongside its local SEO work.
What it is genuinely good at. The most specific published AI deliverable list we found for this trade, and it is unusually technical rather than promotional. It covers comprehensive schema implementation across LocalBusiness, Electrician, Service, FAQPage, HowTo and Review types, declarative content restructuring for service pages and FAQ blocks, authority signal alignment through the Google Business Profile and NAP consistency, indexability work ensuring server rendered HTML without JavaScript rendering traps, real authorship signals including team bios, photos and license numbers, and monthly AI citation tracking across engines. Two items stand out. Server rendered HTML matters because a site that requires JavaScript to display its content can be invisible to crawlers that do not execute it, which is a real and frequently missed failure. And license numbers appearing as an explicit authorship signal matches what the research says the engines weigh most. It targets Google AI Overview, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity and Bing Copilot, and states pricing from around $1,000 monthly, scaling with the underlying SEO program rather than sold standalone.
Where to look closely. Its Newman Electric case study is the most concrete AI result we have found in this series: 173 different searches where Google's AI Overview cites Newman as a source, alongside 295 ranked keywords from zero, 130 map pack appearances and 99 or more five star reviews. Read the timeline carefully, because that was 24 months. It is also self reported and we could not verify it independently, so ask to see the tracking. Headquarters is not published. Its claim of 2.2 million monthly US electrician intent searches with $22 million in equivalent ad value is a national market sizing figure, not a description of your metro, and should not be treated as one.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants trade specialization, published pricing and a vendor describing technical work rather than selling vocabulary.
2. Funnel Boost Media
Funnel Boost Media is the only company headquartered in San Antonio maintaining separate service pages for all three AI surfaces, covering answer engine optimization, generative engine optimization and LLM optimization, founded in 2012 by Ryan Duncan and veteran owned.
What it is genuinely good at. Visible investment rather than a claim, and the only local option able to run the website, the Google Business Profile and the AI work from one San Antonio office. That integration matters here specifically because the licensing and service area facts the engines rely on have to be identical across all three, and splitting them across vendors is how they drift apart. Its own domain carries a domain authority of 34 with more than 2,600 referring domains and it ranks organically for the competitive terms it sells. Forbes named it to a list of America's best digital marketing companies.
Where to look closely. Electrical is one trade inside home services, one vertical among several. Ask how many electrical clients have an active AI component, and ask specifically whether the tracked prompts include capacity and feasibility questions rather than only recommendation prompts. Pricing is not published.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants all three disciplines under one local roof.
3. Get Local Presence
We treat AI search visibility as one of three things inside a single monthly plan alongside the website and local search, rather than as a separate specialty retainer.
What we are genuinely built for. The split described above is a publishing problem that has to be maintained rather than shipped. The residential pages serve search, the capacity and feasibility pages serve the AI channel, and the second set needs to grow as the questions change, because EV and solar questions in 2027 will not be the questions of today and incentive programs change annually. Add the license number, the service area and the credentials staying consistent across the site and every profile, and it is continuous work. That is exactly what stops when the AI vendor cannot edit the site and queues behind a developer who is no longer engaged. We operate the site, so it does not stop. Plans run from $499 to $999 monthly, no contract, rebuild included.
Where we are honestly weaker. Savo Group specializes in electrical contractors, publishes a more technical AI deliverable list than ours, and has a named case study with citation counts we cannot match. Foxxr publishes share of voice reporting against named competitors and we do not. And we do not do electrical work, so the capacity content needs your master electrician to check it, which we would rather say now.
What we can point to. Our parent company Rendimension measured this outcome on its own domains, moving from zero AI citations to being the most cited brand in its category as tracked by Ubersuggest AI Search Visibility. That is a documented result in a different industry, not a San Antonio electrical case study.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants the site, local search and AI visibility owned by one accountable party at a predictable cost.
4. Foxxr Digital Marketing
Foxxr Digital Marketing operates from 801 74th Street North in Saint Petersburg, Florida and states it works exclusively with home service contractors.
What it is genuinely good at. Measurement, which matters more in a smaller search market where you cannot afford to guess. Its published scope includes monthly AI visibility and share of voice reporting, meaning not just whether you appear but how often relative to named competitors, organized around a five pillar framework covering signal building, question targeting, authority stacking, article publishing and monitoring. Question targeting is the capacity question problem named as a deliverable. It names seven engines including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Meta AI, which is the right breadth given how fragmented citation is across engines.
Where to look closely. Founding year, founder, team size and client count are not published and no clients are named, so ask for all of it plus two electrical references. Pricing is not disclosed. Florida rather than Texas. Home service contractor covers many trades, so ask specifically about electrical work.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants competitive share tracking rather than a screenshot of one engine on one day.
5. RS Gonzales
RS Gonzales works with HVAC and home services contractors exclusively, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia, founded on May 2, 2023 by Sarah Gonzales, carrying a 5.0 rating across 39 reviews.
What it is genuinely good at. Published pricing at $2,200 monthly for contractors under a million in revenue, $3,500 for one to two million and $5,000 for two to fifteen million, which makes comparison possible. Its scope names entity foundation covering the Google Business Profile, certifications and schema, AI quotable service content, pricing context and cost guides, Bing indexing and technical SEO, and review campaigns. Bing indexing deserves attention because Savo Group also names Bing Copilot as a target engine, and a business well indexed by Google but poorly by Bing can be invisible to an assistant while ranking normally in search, with the owner unaware because every report they receive is a Google report.
Where to look closely. Founded in 2023, so young. Its stated focus is HVAC and home services rather than electrical specifically, so ask how many electrical clients are active. Washington DC. Its published client claim is self reported and we could not verify it.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants published pricing and a vendor attentive to the technical foundation.
6. Comrade Digital Marketing
Comrade Digital Marketing operates from 332 S Michigan Avenue, Suite 900 in Chicago, founded in 2008 and led by co-founder and CEO Ivan Vislavskiy, with additional locations including Austin, serving home services contractors including electricians.
What it is genuinely good at. Verifiable credentials in a category short on them, stating 218 or more clients with a 4.8 rating and Inc. 5000 recognition, with AI search optimization listed alongside SEO, local SEO, paid search, web design and content. The breadth matters because the AI work and the search work should be one program rather than two, and a contractor can add or remove emphasis without changing vendors. The Austin office means a Texas presence and a plausible in person relationship.
Where to look closely. Multi industry rather than trades exclusive, so ask how many electrical contractors are active and what their AI program actually consists of, since the published description is briefer than the specialists on this list. Team size and pricing are not published and no clients are named.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants one agency across search and AI with a Texas office.
7. LocalMighty
LocalMighty is a San Antonio local SEO agency with more than ten years of local search experience, publishing a dedicated electrician local SEO guide and positioning around GEO, AEO and AI SEO alongside Google Maps visibility.
What it is genuinely good at. Treating Maps and AI visibility as one connected program, which is mechanically accurate and matters here because licensing credentials and review consistency drive both. A vendor already maintaining those for the map pack is doing a substantial share of the AI work whether or not it labels it that way. It is also local, which for an electrical contractor who wants someone reachable in the same city is worth something real.
Where to look closely. It advertises measurable growth within 60 days or the next month free. That is defensible for local search and difficult to underwrite honestly for AI visibility, where there is no position to move, so ask what metric the guarantee covers and whether AI work sits inside or outside it. Note also that the one concrete AI case study on this page took 24 months, which is a useful reality check against a 60 day frame. Ask which engines are tracked. Pricing is not published.
Best fit. A San Antonio electrical contractor who wants Maps and AI visibility run as one local program.
8. Built Right Digital
Built Right Digital works with home service contractors including electricians, roofers, HVAC contractors and plumbers, offering Google Ads, SEO, Meta Ads and website design and management.
What it is genuinely good at. Trades focus with paid media in the same shop, which is relevant to the split described above: the emerging service terms in this metro are currently cheap in paid search while residential is expensive, so a vendor running both organic and paid can build the EV and solar visibility across channels rather than only one.
Where to look closely, and this is the main caution. Headquarters, founding year, founder, client count and pricing are all unpublished and no clients are named, which is a lot of missing information for a vendor you would trust with your visibility. AI search is not published as a distinct service the way it is for the specialists here, so ask what exists today rather than assuming. Ask for three electrical references and treat reluctance as an answer.
Best fit. An electrical contractor who wants organic and paid from one trades focused vendor and is prepared to verify what is not published.
What this actually costs
Two companies on this list publish pricing, which is better than most categories in this series.
Savo Group states programs from around $1,000 monthly with the AI work scaling alongside the SEO program rather than sold separately, which is both the lowest published entry point we have found and the architecturally correct model. RS Gonzales publishes $2,200, $3,500 and $5,000 monthly banded by client revenue.
That spread, roughly $1,000 to $5,000, is the realistic band for this work. Everyone else prices per engagement without publishing.
Managed monthly providers bundle it, which is the bracket Get Local Presence occupies at $499 to $999 monthly with the website, local search and AI visibility in one plan and a rebuild included.
Two cautions specific to this trade. Watch for double payment, since schema, licensing display, entity consistency and review work serve local search and AI visibility simultaneously and are nearly the same deliverable. And weigh the spend against a smaller search market: with roughly 1,300 monthly searches on the head term rather than the 4,400 a plumber competes for, a $5,000 monthly program needs a clear commercial or high ticket rationale rather than a residential volume one.
How to test an AI visibility proposal in five minutes
These apply to every company on this page, us included.
Ask which prompts they track, and look for capacity questions. If the list is only recommendation prompts like best electrician in San Antonio, they are measuring the smaller half. Can my panel handle an EV charger is the question being asked in volume.
Ask whether our site is server rendered. Savo Group names this and almost nobody else does. A site that needs JavaScript to display its content can be invisible to crawlers that do not execute it, which is an expensive and silent failure.
Ask whether our license number will be published and where. Licensing was the single most referenced signal in the 50 state research on AI recommendations for trades, ahead of reviews. Texas licenses electricians, so this is free and most sites here skip it.
Ask about Bing indexing. Two companies on this list name Bing Copilot or Bing indexing directly. A business indexed well by Google and poorly by Bing can be invisible to an assistant while its Google reports look fine.
Ask how long, honestly. The one concrete case study we found reached 173 AI Overview citations over 24 months. Any vendor implying a 60 day transformation should be asked to reconcile that with what they will actually guarantee.
Ask what they will not promise. A vendor who declines to say position or guarantee is describing this discipline accurately.

Frequently asked questions
If EV and solar searches are low in San Antonio, why build that content at all?+
Because keyword volume and demand are not the same thing, and the gap is the point. A homeowner considering an EV charger does not know the keyword, or even whether the question is about amperage, panel capacity, permits or the charger itself, so they do not type a keyword. They ask a question in sentences: can my house handle an EV charger, do I need a panel upgrade for a level 2 charger. Those do not appear in Keyword Planner because the behavior moved to assistants. So the residential service pages are built for search, where the money currently is, and the EV, solar and panel content is built for the AI channel, where those questions actually get asked. Same pages, different rationale and different measurement.
What is the single most valuable page an electrician can publish for AI search?+
An honest answer to the panel capacity question. Almost every emerging job runs through it: will my panel support an EV charger, a hot tub, a workshop, an addition, solar, a whole home generator. The honest answer is frequently that a panel upgrade has to happen first, which is a substantial job that must be sold before any of the interesting work proceeds. A specific page answering it is genuinely useful, question shaped in exactly the way an assistant can extract and quote, and it captures the upgrade rather than sending the reader to a competitor who explained it better. Most electrical sites have a services page saying panel upgrades and a phone number, which answers nothing and gets quoted by nobody.
Will AI assistants tell homeowners to do electrical work themselves?+
Generally no, and that is a structural advantage electricians have over other trades. In plumbing, a good diagnostic page sometimes concludes the homeowner can fix it themselves, and assistants will say so about running toilets and garbage disposals. Electrical is different because the safety floor is higher and the models are conservative for obvious liability reasons. Ask an assistant about panel work, service upgrades or anything behind the wall and the answer reliably ends with a recommendation to hire a licensed electrician, often with a note about permits and inspection. So your problem is not persuasion, it is identification. The assistant is already going to say hire a professional. The only question is whether it names you.
How long does AI visibility take for an electrical contractor?+
The one concrete case study we found took 24 months. Savo Group publishes that its client Newman Electric reached 173 different searches where Google's AI Overview cites the company as a source, alongside 295 ranked keywords from zero, 130 map pack appearances and 99 or more five star reviews, over a two year engagement. That result is self reported and we could not verify it independently, so ask to see the tracking. It is still the most concrete number in this series, and it is a useful reality check against any vendor implying a sixty day transformation. Ask anyone offering a short guarantee to reconcile it with that timeline.
What technical things actually matter that most vendors skip?+
Two come up repeatedly and almost nobody names them. Server rendered HTML, because a site that requires JavaScript to display its content can be invisible to crawlers that do not execute it, which is a silent and expensive failure that a normal ranking report will never surface. And Bing indexing, because several assistants have drawn web results from Microsoft's index rather than Google's, so a business indexed well by Google and poorly by Bing can be invisible to an assistant while every report the owner receives looks fine. Savo Group names the first and both it and RS Gonzales address the second. Ask everyone else.
How much does AI search visibility cost for an electrician?+
Two companies here publish pricing. Savo Group states programs from around $1,000 monthly with the AI work scaling alongside the SEO program rather than sold standalone, which is both the lowest published entry point in this series and the architecturally correct model. RS Gonzales publishes $2,200, $3,500 and $5,000 monthly banded by client revenue. That $1,000 to $5,000 spread is the realistic band. Managed monthly providers bundle it, which is the bracket Get Local Presence occupies at $499 to $999 monthly with the website, local search and AI visibility together and a rebuild included. Weigh any figure against a smaller search market than the other trades, roughly 1,300 monthly searches on the head term against 4,400 for plumbing.
Why is licensing so important for AI visibility specifically?+
Because it is what lets an assistant name you with confidence. A 50 state study covered in the plumbing version of this series sent one identical prompt to four major AI engines in every state and found licensing and state certification to be the most frequently referenced signal when recommending a trade contractor, ahead of reviews and ahead of availability. Texas licenses electricians through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation with tiered licenses plus a separate electrical contractor license, so you hold exactly the credential the engines look for. Savo Group also names license numbers explicitly as an authorship signal in its published deliverables. Put the number in text on the site and on every profile. It is free and most sites in this market skip it.
